The Light Yard

So how did it all start? The Light Yard was born out of a desire to collaborate with some of Britain’s best and most talented designers of hand-crafted and bespoke lighting. That’s where the story begins. Before starting The Light Yard, I spent many years within the hospitality industry, both in London and France.

Having worked at some of London’s most prestigious establishments within the City Of London and at the iconic Palace Of Westminster, I became fascinated by the way light changed the appearance of a buildings structure and texture depending on the time of day, season and weather conditions. I began to observe London at night and quickly began to understand how the importance of creating a lighting effect with a strong visual impact had an effect on the City and its inhabitants. This was the original spark behind The Light Yard and it still fascinates and inspires me today. In 2008 whilst living in France I started Adorable Eclairage, specialising in the supply of high end outdoor and architectural luminaires and following a return back to England in 2013 I created The Light Yard.
