Crown Lane Studio

We are an award winning recording studio based in Morden, London. We specialise in creating exceptional jazz, folk, world, classical and fresh audio recordings.

Founded by husband and wife team in 2007, John and Ruth have established a space for creativity to thrive. Located in Morden Town Centre (with excellent public transport connections & customer parking), through the ethical coffee house, you enter a unique space, to write, refine, create, rehearse and record.

We are a small team, and all sessions are undertaken by the experienced engineers here (John or Bill), to make sure your project exceeds your expectations. We are often praised for the friendliness of our staff, our top-notch equipment (kept in excellent condition), our fully acoustically-treated rooms (all air-conditioned and isolated from each other), and the attention to detail we give to all our clients and their projects.

Your story is really important to us, and although recording takes up a small part of your musical journey, we believe that it is a really significant part, and as such we want to get it right from the start.

We have created an area of our website called ‘My Crown Lane’. This is a place where you can upload rough mixes, share ideas and files and make artistic suggestions. It is also the best way to book and pay for use of our rehearsal rooms.
