After winning #SBS then we were inundated with enquiries for the following couple of weeks. As well as generating local PR and press we had about 25 sales leads and genuinely won business from this!
My Bio
I run Appware, a software development company that provides Mobile Apps (certified developers for Apple iPhone, iPad, Android, Windows Phone 7 WP7 and other platforms), SaaS/Cloud solutions, Software Development, and Web Design.
I have a strong technical background and have been in the software industry over 25 years having had my first software published when I was just 14 years old. I've run small software houses in the UK as well as working in EMEA and the USA. I have the rare combination of both technical and commercial skills so as well as being able to design concepts, architect systems, and project manage I can then take these developments to market and monetise them.
My Business Tips
Mobile Apps are a great way to market your business to a huge and rapidly expanding audience. In the Christmas week of 2011 alone then more than 1.2 billion Apps were downloaded!
As well as Apps then also think about smartphone users when working on your website. Do you have a mobile friendly website? What does it look like on a mobile? Alot of people will be viewing your site on their smartphone so do take a look.
If you currently send email newsletters then do take a look to see what these look like on a mobile device too. In most campaigns that we sendfor clients we are seeing open rates higher than 50% on mobiles so this is increasingly important.
