Brightly-Coloured Designer Nerd.

After 9 years graphic design experience working for agencies large and small in 2011 I decided to go it alone and set up my own design company where I now work as a surface pattern designer, illustrator, graphic designer and design consultant. My own label of colourful homewares, gifts and paper goods sell online all over the world as well as in selected high street shops and my bold colourful designs have attracted a variety of clients in the UK, Europe & the US including 3M, Keka Case and Deny Designs.

I love geometric shape, pattern, iconic design and bold colour and I’m also a type nerd – I actually have a list of my favourite ampersands (Clarendon, Big Caslon, Cooper Black, Oksana Bold and Kilogram – in case you were wondering). I’m always trying new things with my work, including painting and new print techniques but most projects start with a pencil (mechanical 0.5 HB) and a fresh piece of paper (A2 45gsm layout pad). The resulting drawing is scanned for digital manipulation and colouring and then anything can happen, including surface pattern repeats, placement prints, bespoke illustrations and designs for my own label – all in my signature bold, graphic, happy style!
