MY BUZZ

Being announced as an #SBS winner, came at a time when the business had reached its 2nd birthday. It came when I least expected it - but then the best things in life happen that way! Since the win in April 2013, I've forged some exciting and creative business relationships that have added real value to what I offer. None of that would have been possible without the social media interaction that Twitter gives, or without the buzz that surrounds the #SBS world. The initiative raised the game for me and moved my business up another gear. People have much higher expectations of what I offer now, which is just great for the business and the Celebrancy profession. It gave me the opportunity to talk about what I provide and increase my profile way beyond what I'd ever imagined. It was a wonderful accolade to receive after 2 years of passionate hard work. The business journey continues to develop and I have no doubt that the story book will go on to show some great successes along the way.

MY BIO

I'm Carole Renshaw, a Civil Celebrant based in the Staffordshire, Shropshire and Cheshire borders who's experienced in delivering a whole range of ceremonies; from funerals and baby namings, to weddings and vow renewals. My focus is now on Funeral Celebrancy. It's where my heart is. It's where I know I belong. That means that I write and lead funerals that tell a personal story of someone's life. Each service is individually written so that the person you've lost is remembered for their uniqueness and individuality. People tell me that they walk away from one of my funerals knowing that their final goodbye was the best that it could be. That's what it's all about for me. I also support newly trained Celebrants as a mentor and business advisor. Building up a successful business has given me some valuable insights into what works best. I'm now using this experience to help others make their mark in this highly competitive sector.

* Appreciate people from all walks of life and what they have to offer. * Remember those who've helped you and give back what you can. * Build relationships for the long haul - not for your own immediate gain. * Choose partners who share your values and standards. * Deliver beyond client expectations. * If we can't make each client feel like they're our only client in the world, then we're missing a trick!
