Linda Bloomfield

I trained as a scientist but always dreamed of becoming a potter. After having three children I set up my studio in my garden in west London. I design and make porcelain tableware in simple shapes, with tactile surfaces on the outside and subtle colours on the inside, inspired by designers from the mid twentieth century. I have made tableware ranges for Harrods, Liberty, David Mellor and for the cafe in the Royal Albert Hall. I have also written four books on pottery and glazes.
