Shine Books, an inclusive range of children’s books raising awareness and normalising conditions and disabilities such as autism, Tourette’s and dyslexia, has just launched its first Kickstarter campaign, with the hope of raising funds to create an interactive app to be used in schools across the country, as well as widening distribution.
The Shine Books series has helped thousands of children embrace their differences, accept each other and feel represented, but with a successful Kickstarter the hope is to invest more into the business and develop it into a versatile product where children, teachers and parents can all benefit.
Founder and author Jo North says “This is a huge opportunity for Shine Books with great potential to grow and develop. If we can make our target we will be able to take Shine Books to the next level.”
