I won SBS last Summer, and was overwhelmed at the response on Twitter.! Over the next few weeks I loved connecting with people who were also part of the SBS family but it's only when I attended the event last week that I realised the power of those 3 little letters.
Last year was my first year being in business full time and it was tough , as a Photographer , I know lots about taking photographs but the business aspects were all very new to me and it's often a lonely business. I dipped in and out of the SBS website and Facebook page and saw just how generous people were with knowledge and advice. Last week I went to the SBS event and saw this firsthand , I was made incredibly welcome by previous winners who realised how daunting it can be to walk in alone , I saw the support from larger businesses, had access to the experience of other business owners and I came away motivated and inspired.
I have now started to make strong links with other businesses and really looking forward to seeing just how we can help each other grow this year
