REdbEAR’s brand ambassador campaign
We recently launched our brand ambassador campaign via an OCR (obstacle course racing) group on Facebook and it truly exceeded our expectations. We were overwhelmed by the positive comments, but more than that, we were simply blown away by the amazing vibe and positive network created and nurtured by all those hooked on OCR.
We didn’t spend a great deal of time outlining what kind of profile would be best suited as a REdbEAR brand ambassador, but we knew that it would be some who simply enjoys being out there, likes quirky gear and could represent our REdbEAR moto to ‘Get Out and Stand Out’. What we hadn’t planned for was how hard it was to select a successful candidate. We received emails from mums, dads, nursing assistants, first timers, season pro’s, all with a great story as to why they should be selected. It was impossible not to like them all…
So when we read about a guy who was raised by bears and had a beard, we knew we were onto a winner…meet Alex Abbott. Although he is relatively new to OCR he is hooked and came 83rd out of 301 in his first race and as he is our first brand ambassador, he is also our chief ambassador (I hope he read the small print)!
