My Buzz
The #SBS award has given my business a massive boost, within moments of Theo's retweet I had a huge amount of messages, retweets and new followers. It created more traffic to my Etsy shop almost instantly and gave me the push to finish designing my website.
My Bio
Bonjour! My name is Kerry and I am the artist/ owner of Papier Bouton.
My interest in papercutting started back in 2010 after purchasing a piece for my first wedding anniversary, which is traditionally associated with paper. After my second son was born in 2013 I turned my hobby into a business and Papier Bouton was born. The name Papier Bouton is french for Paper Button as I work with mainly paper and occasionally buttons to accent my cards.
Based in Derbyshire, Papier Bouton is an award winning small business. We are family run from our quaint little house in the suburbs, with everybody playing their part. My husband helps me with ideas for designs and often post office runs, and my two beautiful boys give me my daily inspiration. I offer a range of personalised and bespoke papercut pieces and greetings card such as special birthdays and anniversaries.
My Business Tips
To run a small business you need to aim high and be prepapered to put in overtime! Working for yourself can be flexible and fit around family life if required but you do have to be prepared to put in the extra hours and often work until late / early morning to achieve your goals.
