As a busy mum of two boys, I often struggled to find a good source of kids classes and holiday camps in my area. Booking activities via bank transfers, writing cheques and endless form filling for various activity providers gave me a real incentive to develop a solution to help parents easily find, book and pay online for kids classes and camps. Extending the directory out to party ideas, venues, entertainers and suppliers also makes it easier for parents to connect and plan a birthday with party providers .
Coming from a technical engineering background, I wanted to provide a platform beyond being just another parenting website or directory and give class providers a class management system to help them take bookings and payments online for events. This gives providers much more affordable and effective platform to invest in so that they can reduce admin when advertising activities, whilst taking payments and class registrations all in one solution.

Kidz Central UK launched in March 2016 by Julie Morrow, uses technology to solve the problem so many busy parents face—finding a simple way to find, book, and manage their children's classes, camps, and local family events. We know parents have little time, so instead of spending precious time searching all over the web, they can now find (and book in) the best kids’ activities all in one place!
Parents can search by the criteria that are most important to them, such as age, location, price, activity type, and day/time. They can also search specifically by weekend classes, after work classes (so working parents can enjoy activities with their kids!), sibling classes, and outdoor classes!
Kidz Central UK offers more than 1,500 classes and camps for every age and interest, representing hundreds of Hertfordshire's top activity providers. With a sophisticated search engine and class reviews from fellow parents, it is easy to find the best classes and activities for your children, sign up for a trial class, and directly book.
Julie has partnered with a company in New York called Kidz Central Station to license and co-develop the software platform used in creating the class management system and directory. Taking www.kidzcentralstation.com 's stable platform of over 3 years maturity has ensured Julie could quickly turn an idea into a business by launching to market with a solid website.
My Business Tips
Make lists - you can't have enough lists e.g. work, home, school, social fitness etc., and break them down into smaller manageable daily or hourly tasks in order to fulfil a task or two from each one every day.
