My Bio

Fairtrade. handmade, origami sculptures and gifts.
Catherine Gray lives surrounded by woodland on the outskirts of Norwich, Norfolk and a stone’s throw from a beautiful seaside. This is where all her inspiration is drawn from as a self-taught artist. She is supported by her carpenter husband, Joe, in the production and quality control of all her creations.
She uses fair trade lokta paper from Nepal, which is sustainable and ethical. Lokta has striking textures and natural dye colours which lends itself to sculptural work. All pieces are treated with varnish over a minimum of 3 days. This cures the paper making it water resistant and durable. Lokta paper is also the chosen archive paper for the Government due to its strength and resilience.
Catherine’s origami products include: striking jewellery, nature-inspired sculptures, home decorations, printed greetings cards and DIY kits.
Catherine has recently been featured on the BBC Get Creative Website, in magazines and has made props for a company pitching on BBC's Dragon's Den.
You can find Catherine's origami stocked in shops and galleries throughout the UK.
