My Buzz

Chicybee Ltd is a family grown business based in sleepy Somerset. I am Bridget Price and the in house designer, all my ideas are developed by my love for interior design, creating & personalisation. With a background in picture framing - amongst other things - I take on board ideas from our customers which enables us to develop our designs and create modern new & stylish storage solutions for just about anything you desire. My husband Neil is the back bone of the business providing carpentry and electrical skills alongside myself and together we work pretty well (most of the time lol)
We specialize in providing display solutions for beauty products & glamorous items for both your business and home. We have created a large number of products for many salons, specifically developed for the Salon industry but not exclusively. More recently we have developed products for the boutique market and home décor - this is directly from a demand in these areas for our unique styles which offer space saving storage solutions. Originally Designed for nail polish display and storage, we can also offer a whole package of display frames that all complement each other and can be used for other beauty display such as hair products and towels etc. These beautiful and unique display frames which are incomparable to most of the common, mass produced laminated or plastic products, can be custom designed and matched both by colour and style to compliment your salon décor. These unique designs are not just limited to beauty products either and there are many other uses for them such as :
• Hair products
• Nail polish
• Perfume
• Beauty products
. shoes
' accessories

My Bio

My background in particular has always been artistic from way back as small child I would colour and draw at the kitchen table and get covered in ink & paint & just loved being creative. After leaving school – I have to admit at this point school never worked for me & unfortunately I left with a handful of low grades - I worked at a small Pottery and learnt at the potter’s wheel which further fired my imagination & inspired me to pursue some type of artistic career path.
After moving to another part of the UK I had the opportunity to train as a picture framer in an Art gallery which I loved and that's really where all of this derives from. I had a desire to travel & spent a year in Israel at a kibbutz which was amazing but upon my return to the UK I felt the need to fulfil my caring side and worked in social care – after 10 years I became emotionally burnt out & suddenly realised I needed to now change my career path & go back to what I really loved and is the essence of me- creating.
So here I am now – after gradually reducing my hours in my job in the early days of this business, after a lot of hard work and long hours four years down the line I am fortunate enough to have this wonderful business which is flourishing and every day it’s a pleasure to go to our studio workshop & create beautiful things. There is so much more you can do with a picture frame then put a picture in it☺
We ship our products worldwide and our products have now reached as faraway salons such as Croatia & Dubai to the west coast of America. Some of our past customers include BBC1 EastEnders & Sky TV too & we quite often `pop` up on UK TV in the background in a salon somewhere. Just this Xmas 2017 we produced a range of `selfie` frames for some beautiful stately homes such as Blenheim Palace and Kew gardens which were a great hit . We’ve featured in several online magazines which was very flattering & currently - in 2018 - we have some exciting projects to come including winning SBS not a bad start to the year and we are looking forward to another busy year.

My Business Tips

`work to live not live to work` otherwise what's the point -If you don't like what you do then be brave and change it, I did and took a gamble but if you put all your passion heart and soul into your business seven days a week you will reap the rewards but - make sure you have rewards & treats this is what motivates us every day !
The customer is most definitely always right - even when they are not and you just have to grit your teeth and grin and bear it and dont get hung up on one problem, more often than not if you move onto another project and come back to the problem you will solve it.
Be kind to people and honest-integrity will get you everywhere and also very good customer feedback which is critical in business...oh and smile ☺☺
