Double Small Business Sunday winner Alex Burnside has announced the expansion of her children’s activity provider Phonics with Robot Reg to Ireland

Alex has won the award for both Phonics with Robot Reg and more recently her other class provider, Counting Kids (which provides numeracy classes to preschoolers). She is the co-founder of the phonics class which has 56 locations, including England and Australia. It’s now expanded for the very first time into Ireland, with classes just launched in Kildare and Dublin Mid West.

Headed up by class teacher Orla Ryan, who has a huge passion for early years education, and speech and language development, the new phonics classes combine singing and dancing with a curriculum that’s centred around key milestones in toddlers’ two-year developmental check. It also provides key skills for preschoolers that can be built on as they enter school.

“I’m so excited to be bringing Phonics with Robot Reg classes to Kildare and Mid-West Dublin and thrilled to be the first person running these classes in Ireland. I only wish these classes were available when my sons were younger,” says class teacher and mum of two Orla.

Alex Burnside, the co-founder of Phonics with Robot Reg, says: “I am absolutely thrilled for our business to be expanding to Ireland and to be helping more families than ever foster a love of reading with their little ones. I was honored to be selected for the second time by Theo Paphitis last year and recognised for all the work we are doing supporting young children’s education. We have an amazing team of early years experts who are supporting children up and down the country with their numeracy and literacy skills.”
