My Buzz

Being creative has always been part of my life. I have trained in both sciences and teaching, but I never let my creative side slide, and now I am living the dream of being elbow deep in clay, glaze, leather and paper. It is my aim to bring my creative nature and teaching experience together to help improve the nation's mental well-being.

My Bio

Ashes & Oak is a small business specialising in bringing a smile to everyone's face through our work with ceramics, wood and leather. We are happy to take commissions otherwise we take our inspiration from the natural world around us. Regardless of the pieces inception, they are all made lovingly by us in our small home studio.

Wood used is all from sustainable sources and we endeavour to use British suppliers wherever we can. Ceramic work is mostly animal sculpture, Nerikomi clay work and firing methods used are both modern electric kiln and traditional pit firing for different effects. We offer our 'Make it 2 Break it' programmes to education and community sector and one day or bespoke packages to businesses.  We also partner with other organisations such as The Mighty Creative offering creative mentorship to children and young people in the care sector and with additional educational needs. We appreciate the diversity of the British business and are able to design a package perfect for workforces big or small.
