My Buzz

I have simply fallen in love with soap and am fascinated by the process of making it. I want to share my passion for all things soap but also to educate more people as to why we should be switching to a bar of soap. It is not only better for the skin but also better for the environment.
Since beginning my journey as a small business owner I totally get what these businesses go through and am whole heartedly taking on board the social media aspect of supporting other small business by re tweeting, liking, commenting etc as I understand what a difference it can make. In doing this I stumbled across #sbs and some of the other various twitter hours but...oh my...what a difference it has made to my business. Long may it continue. Thank you all for being on this journey with me and supporting my small business too.

My Bio

Hello from Worcestershire and welcome to The Wrinkly Elephant Company.

I first got into making soap as a hobby as I wanted to find something that was more moisturising for my skin and I was also becoming more aware of the harsh chemicals that are being added to our beauty products. It soon became apparent that I was addicted to the process of making soap and had to start giving away a lot of what I had made to family and friends. It was then that people started to comment on how much better their skin felt using them and asking me for more. The Wrinkly Elephant Company was then formed and is going from strength to strength. I made the decision at Christmas 2018 to quit my job in education and focus on the business full time.
The soaps I make are all made using natural ingredients and are free from harsh chemicals, which can be irritating to the skin. They are Vegan friendly and are fragranced using plant essential oils. No synthetic colours are added and none of our products are tested on animals or contain any palm oil. I have even thought carefully about the packaging and have kept it to the bare minimum and most definitely plastic free. The soaps are made in small batches with love and care to ensure the highest quality at my studio in Bromsgrove, but more importantly have been assessed by a Cosmetic Chemist to comply with EU regulations.
I currently travel around the Worcestershire area to various craft fairs, farmers markets, school fairs, festivals and pop up shops in shopping centres but will certainly be looking to venture further afield.
