Let me tell you a little bit about My Mood Stars!
I designed and developed My Mood Stars while working as a child minder.
As a child minder, I followed the Early Years Foundation Framework.
Two key areas of the Early Years Foundation Stage are Personal, Social and Emotional development and Communication
These were always a priority for me during my career working with children.
I believe that children who are self-confident and in touch with their feelings find it easier to flourish in social situations. Those who understand, and can express and manage their own emotions as well as those of others around them are more likely to develop a positive sense of self and be assured and inquisitive learners.
My Mood Stars are a charming toy and also a highly effective developmental resource for children on the autism spectrum.
My Mood Stars allow children to immerse themselves in imaginative play, either by themselves or with others and can be a fun way of encouraging children to talk about how they are feeling and also encourage empathy.
My Mood Stars are soft, sensory and safe - CE compliant with the Toys (Safety) Regulations 2011.
My Mood Stars come with their own My Mood Stars board.
Children love the tactile experience of popping the My Mood Stars on and off the My Mood Stars board which works without the need for any rough Velcro like substance on the soft cuddly toys themselves
They attach to the board, which can be hung on a wall or propped up, setting the scene for endless stories and games to be made with characters being Timid, Sad, Angry, Happy, Sleepy, Surprised, Worried and Silly!
