We’re passionate about education and the opportunities it creates.
We give school leavers on their gap year the opportunity to come and work for us as in-school tutors. This helps them sprinkle some #CVGoldDust on their fledgling career and develop their professional skills. We recruit on behaviours; commitment and a ‘can-do’ attitude. We want school leavers who are committed to getting the very most out of their gap year with us, and who will always go above and beyond what’s expected of them.
We thrive on the support we provide to the schools as we know year after year our tutors are making a real difference to their pupils. Pupils respond well to the tuition; the very small age gap makes tutors highly credible and long standing barriers and blockers to learning often come down very quickly.
My Bio
Anne Morris established Yipiyap in September 2012 to harness the academic talents and interpersonal skills of high achieving school leavers on their gap year, giving them the opportunity to support primary and secondary school pupils who require extra help in Maths, English and Science. We believe we’re the only gap year provider who offers this type of experience. This year we have nearly eighty tutors providing support in over fifty schools across London, the North, the Midlands, East Anglia and North Wales.
We have a team of ten who operate out of the head office in Altrincham which includes the owners, finance, IT, HR and the regional directors.
