My Bio

StreetHunt Games was founded by Tony and Annaliza, married accountants who love travel and seeking out unique experiences, both at home and on holiday. They’re particularly keen on immersive events, theatre, escape room games and finding new places to eat and drink.

Combining this passion with Tony’s love of quizzes, crosswords and board games (if you can turn something into a game, Tony’s family have done it!), StreetHunt Games was born.

StreetHunt’s Chief Technology Officer, Nick (Tony’s brother), then turned the concept into reality with his programming background and tech startup know-how.

StreetHunt’s vision is to create immersive games throughout the UK and internationally, focusing on the interaction between technology and the environment. They strive to provide fun and escapism to players in the corporate team building, dating, family and tourism markets.

My Business Tips

Our main bit of advice would be to make sure you’re passionate about your business/idea - starting from scratch is daunting so you need lots of self-belief to turn your vision into reality (also having a great support network cannot be underestimated!).

Keep going and try not to get bogged down - things take time and challenges will arise that you never expected but look at them as opportunities to learn and grow from.

Talk to as many people as possible and say yes to opportunities that come your way. It’s amazing what can come from talking and connecting with people such as collaborations, advice and seeing things from a different perspective.

Remember you’re not making your business for yourself so you need to make sure you get relevant external feedback before making any assumptions about what your customers want.

Finally, look out for schemes and competition to help small businesses - just like #SBS!
