Winning #SBS gave me a huge confidence boost and introduced me to lots of other businesses I would never have otherwise known about. The best thing about being a member is being involved with a strong small business networking team - it gives you the motivation when you need it.
Dottie and Belle was created by my sister and I when we saw that many of our busy friends were keen to do a bit of home-baking for their children's birthday, but lacked the inspiration to design the cakes and had no time to source ingredients and decorations. We designed beautiful but easy to make cake kits with high quality ingredients to help parents make a fabulous cake for their celebration.
Marketing your business can feel very daunting as it is a neverending task - set out realistic goals at the beginning of each week and stick to them.
