My Buzz

#SBS has already connected me with many new people and I cant wait to see how it progresses from here...I am delighted and honored to have been chosen!

My Bio

I have been a development coach, stress management consultant and NLP Master Practitioner since 2004, having received training from some of the most inspirational and influential people in the coaching and NLP world - Dr Richard Bandler, Paul McKenna and Michael Neal. During this time I have supported hundreds of people through changes in both their personal and professional lives.
This year Debi I have also added Mindfulness to my work with clients, something I have found invaluable to practice myself.
Add to that, more than 30 years of managing teams of people and working in various companies, charities and on organisational development projects.

In my personal coaching, I work on a one-to-one basis, combing traditional face-to-face or telephone consultations with video calls using Skype or FaceTime.
I also runs development workshops locally and this year have some exciting projects planned.

I consider it to be a real privilege to be part of someone’s development journey and I love to watch my clients change and grow in confidence and self-esteem.

Clients come to me for all sorts of reasons and I work closely with them to identify the root causes of their issues and help them to achieve a solution to move on with their life and achieve their goals.

I myself have in the past, suffered with depression, low self-esteem and weight and body image issues. Although this has been personally challenging, I know that I would not be the person I am or be able to support others in the way that I do without these past life experiences.

I have been “very fortunate” to have had the opportunity to work with amazing people on some great projects. These have included TV documentaries, radio shows, creating development programmes for charities, and businesses. I even got to perform on stage with the Birmingham Royal Ballet as part of a Channel 4 documentary on disaffected young people. The variety is just astonishing and I’ve loved every single one of these projects.
One of my greatest passions is my work with the British Red Cross and have received the Henry Dunant Award for outstanding services to the organisation.
I’ve been a member of the BRC Psycho Social Support Team since 2005 and have been called on to respond to situations abroad where British nationals have been affected. Anything from a natural disaster to a terrorist attack can trigger the call for assistance.
One example of that was being flown into Haiti following the devastating earthquake there in 2010 when more than 230,000 people were killed. I also have treasured memories of working in Zimbabwe over a 16-month period, supporting a resettlement programme for elderly people who had been forced out of their homesteads, and more recently supporting the refugees in Calais.

My experiences with the British Red Cross, the Alzheimer’s Society, businesses and with people in general, have shaped me as a person and remind me of just how lucky I am to do the things I do and to enjoy the support I have in my own life.

I believe life is one great journey that we all go through in our own unique way, with many twists and turns. My role is to support people on theirs, by helping them overcome those things holding them back, work towards making positive changes and gain clarity on how they wish to live their lives.
