My Buzz

Being new to Twitter I soon realised that I needed to explore this media to grow my business so I decided to follow some major inspirational people. Theo Paphitis was one of these. I soon noticed his #SBS tweet and I decided that I was going to win it! So I tried and tried and tried I knew I would be retweeted one day and it happened on 4/09/2011. Great sense of achievement and it made me more determined to pursue my dream of business success.
SBS has shown me that you need to believe in yourself and your business, because otherwise no-one else will. Knowing that someone like Theo has given me the thumbs up is a great motivator to keep on going until I reach my goal.

My Bio

After a 17 year career in the Met police service, serving in Southall and Twickenham, my husband and three kids decided to move to leafy Herefordshire in 2003. It was a big change to us as a family both geographically and financially. I took some time out to find what it was I really wanted to do and to enjoy family life, school runs sports days etc. I worked for a year helping homeless young people with life and work skills. Then having qualified as a soft furnisher, I set up my own business making curtains etc. I enjoyed it but it really wasn't for me, as I missed having regular contact with people and found myself spending hours on my own with a sewing machine. Before long I was also enjoying something I didn't often get to do in London entertaining and in particular cooking my native Indian food. i was rediscovering something that I loved to do as a young girl helping my mum in the kitchen and watching her create mouthwatering Hyderabadi dishes every day. I soon got known in the area for my cooking and after several suggestions from friends decided that I would start my own Authentic Indian Cookery School. This has been a journey of love, bringing together my love of Indian food and my love of Herefordshire and it's excellent produce. I want to take as many people as possible on this journey of discovery using my age old recipes and recreating tastes from my childhood. At my cookery school you will look learn and laugh together with like minded people and leave feeling refreshed and relaxed. I also provide bespoke corporate events, team building activities, private catering and a local monthly rural take away. I love my life and my job.
