About Access Solutions
Access Solutions Associates Ltd is a company owned and managed by us: Angie Aspinall and Julie Leggett - two deafened entrepreneurs. (We also manage Hearing Loss Friendly and Quietly Relaxing Holidays. Angie is based in Yorkshire and is the consultant for Scotland and the north of England. (Angie is also an SBS winner for her other business interest, Aspinall Ink.) Julie is based in Essex and is the consultant for Wales and the south of England.
Our aims
To raise awareness of the access issues, safety needs and legislative requirements in the UK with regard to provision for people with hearing loss and to support members of the hospitality industry to meet their legal obligations and achieve excellence in customer care for people with hearing loss. We do this via training, accessibility audits and the supply of specialist equipment.
We also aim to promote and publicise good practice via www.hearinglossfriendly.com.
History
Access Solutions was launched on 1st September 2014 and Hearing Loss Friendly was launched on 22nd November 2014.
In 2015, Access Solutions co-developed and co-delivered Visit England's 'Access for All' training programme across the country as part of the consortium 'Access Unlimited'. As a result of this, we now offer pan-disability training in addition to our training on 'Excellence in Customer care for people with hearing loss'.
