Have you ever thought “I just wish I had someone to do my stuff for me?” By stuff I mean all of those jobs that you simply haven’t got time to do yourself or keep putting off until “tomorrow”. Time is such a valuable resource for all of us and I can be that person who does that “stuff” and hopefully free up your time so you can go and do something more interesting instead. I can even organise that interesting stuff for you too!
I am a freelance HR Qualified, Virtual Assistant. Whether you are self-employed or a small to medium sized business, I can help you with your HR and Admin support requirements.
I focus on assisting mobile professionals, entrepreneurs and small/medium businesses that require the knowledge and skills of an experienced HR Consultant or Personal Assistant, but only want that assistance when it suits them. One of the main advantages of using DoMyStuff is complete flexibility. I can work as many or few hours as required and only charge you for the actual time worked. You can use me as a part time employee, for specific projects, or just to cover staff absences or peaks in business activity.
By using DoMyStuff you have no employee costs (NI contributions, holidays, sick pay, pension etc.) and by building a relationship and using me regularly I can provide continuity and a proactive partnership for your business.
I can be the person to lighten the load and make your life a little bit easier.
My name is Melanie and I do the stuff! I have spent many years working in Office Management, Personal Assistant and Human Resources roles for small to medium sized companies. All of these roles involved a significant amount of organisation and time management and every day was different. One day I could be dealing with high pressure HR cases and the next I could be buying sandwiches for a meeting and shopping for the CEO’s Secret Santa gift! I have a BA (Hons) in Business Studies and a PG Diploma in Human Resource Management (CIPD qualified), so I have the skills and experience to help you with your business requirements.
Although I am based in Swindon, Wiltshire a lot of my work can be carried out remotely which means I can work for virtually anyone, anywhere in the UK or indeed globally. Discretion and loyalty are extremely important to me and I am flexible, trustworthy and very easy to get along with.
I have an enhanced DBS Criminal Records Check and hold Professional Indemnity Insurance up to £2million.
On a more personal level, I am married to Andrew and have a beautiful daughter Lilith Persephone.
I can think of SEVEN very good reasons why your business could benefit from the services of a Virtual Assistant (VA).
1.To save you money
VAs cost less than a permanent employee with full benefits, there are no office space costs to accommodate them and you only pay for actual time spent working. Also, you are not paying permanent employees during down times, saving you money on operational expenses.
2. To catch up on administrative tasks
Sometimes you must admit to yourself as a business owner that you are overwhelmed. You also need to remind yourself that you can’t do everything by yourself. Administration is one of the tasks that you can easily delegate to a VA to get on top of things and go back to being productive.
3. To utilise their expertise
Many VAs specialise in a certain area and can therefore bring their expertise to the table. For example I am a qualified HR professional and can assist you in all aspects of Human Resources, I can even train your staff if required. VAs are also not restricted by location so you have access to global talent.
4. To focus on what you do best
As a business owner your time is valuable and some things are worth paying someone else to do! You know you could really make a significant difference in your business if you could focus more on what you and only you can do. Delegate – free up your time – go back to doing what you love and what makes you happy (and successful).
5. To provide a better service for your customers
You can delegate recurring tasks to your VA such as client follow-up, content creation and email marketing/management. Streamlining this type of business activity and creating consistency is essential. This then frees up yourself and full time staff to focus on core operations and concentrate on your customers.
6. To progress your business
If you can satisfy steps 1-5 you are on your way to growing your business with the help of a VA. You never know your VA may become a trusted business “partner” who can also assist you in other areas of your organisation.
7. To give you your life back!
Taking all the above into consideration, how much time, money and effort is hiring a great VA going to save you? Time that you can devote to your business, your family and most importantly to yourself!
This list may prove to you that the common misconception of some small business owners that their only option is to hire a full time, permanent and physical assistant, is an out-dated one!
