Mel Langton Art

I’m Mel Langton and I’m a Lincoln based designer and illustrator who creates vibrant, original artwork, bespoke illustrations, surface pattern design and custom portraits, using both digital and traditional techniques.

I studied Graphic Design and Illustration at De Montford University, Lincoln and in 2001 I graduated with a BA (Hons) in Illustration, in which I chose to specialise.

My would describe my artwork as colourful, bold and edgy and I really love to create pieces that pop with colour!

Music, lifestyle, alternative culture and mental health awareness are big themes within my work. Strong female characters and inspirational individuals also feature heavily, and this relates back to my years on track playing the full contact sport of roller derby.

I have also created artwork for a number of public art trails over recent years and most recently have completed a series of 12 designs for permanent display at Lincoln Railways station for a large community rail project.
