At Purple Sage Soap Company, my passion is creating luxurious, natural & sustainable skincare products that are not only kind to the skin but also gentle on the planet. What really excites me is the process of growing my own flowers, herbs, and botanicals right here on my doorstep, in the beautiful Scottish Borders, then handcrafting them into beautiful soaps and skincare items. Knowing that each product I make is infused with the care and love I have for nature and sustainability is incredibly fulfilling.
What really gives me a buzz is seeing the joy my products bring to my customers, especially when they tell me how much they appreciate the quality and the ethos behind what I do. My Bio
My name is Ann Carter and I am the proud owner of the award winning Purple Sage Soap Company, a thriving small business nestled in the heart of the Scottish Borders. With a lifelong passion for gardening and a deep commitment to sustainability, I started the company in 2021 to create high-quality, natural skincare products that are vegan-friendly, cruelty-free, and kind to both skin and the planet.
Drawing inspiration from my small holding at Sage Cottage in Hawick, I grow my own flowers, herbs, and botanicals, which I handcraft into luxurious soaps and skincare products. My dedication to reducing my carbon footprint and supporting the local community is reflected in every aspect of my business, from the eco-friendly packaging to the donation of surplus flowers & products to local causes.
My vision extends beyond just skincare; I'm passionate about educating others on the benefits of natural products and sustainable living. With plans to expand into face-to-face skincare workshops and develop mind and body wellness kits, I am continually looking for ways to grow my business while staying true to my values.
