A business consultancy led by a brand strategist? Of course.

​For over 25 years, I've been providing strategic support to clients of all shapes, sizes & sectors in over a dozen different countries.

I earnt my consultancy spurs during 17 years in international corporate branding agencies. As a Consultancy Director - first in London, then Hong Kong - working across Europe to Asia, I advised corporate C-suites on branding as a strategic business tool, proving time & again that "brand" goes way beyond the marketing department to influence every part of a business, at every level. Business strategy & brand strategy co-exist - one doesn't survive without the other - well, not for long at least!

10 of those agency years were spent on Management teams, learning about the daily realities of running & growing a business (including positioning one agency for a successful sale).

Alongside my agency work, I co-founded a hedonistic events business & a marine conservation charity - both of which gave me a fantastic insight into the world of small business. I adapted all of my big-brand theory & principles to make them small-business relevant, & gained valuable hands-on experience of putting that theory into practice to grow my own business & brands in the real world.

As a result, I increasingly found friends who also owned small businesses coming to me for their own business & brand strategy support. Then their friends. Eventually, I left agency completely to go wholly independent.

In 2015, I moved back to the UK &, for 9 years, worked independently as a strategist under my own name.  Over that time, the consultancy market became increasingly fragmented, riddled with jargon & disconnected from commercial realities or cohesive implementation. Clients were rolling their eyes at the sea of strategic consultancy via social media & I didn't blame them. I'd had enough.

In 2024, I launched Rock & Partners Ltd (trading as Rock.Partners) to deliver strategy & support as I believe it should be done. Clear, direct & 100% led by client needs, not consultancy agendas!
