As a result of winning the #SBS - my company was put on a platform that showcased me on twitter to people who may otherwise not have noticed my business. I received 200 extra followers in 2 hours and I have had PR opportunities with local and national press to include The Sunday Times Business Section. We also won Most Promising Business in the British Chamber of Commerce Business Awards 2012 and I am sure the #SBS from Theo Paphitis helped to endorse the brand.
I have gone from being on income support to running a multi award-winning franchise business in just over two years. I established Simply Bows and Chair Covers in 2009 after discovering a gap in the market for stylish, high-quality chair covers and table linen whilst helping to organise my brother’s wedding.
Simply Bows and Chair Covers is a luxury event linen company, hiring bespoke chair covers, table linen, and luxury accessories to enhance our chair covers, for weddings, private parties and corporate events- The franchise operation launched in 2010 and already has 14 franchises in areas stretching from Aberdeen to South Wales.
The vision is to have the Simply Bows and Chair Covers brand supplying every 5 star hotel in the UK by 2015. From here we wish to sell Master Franchises in to Europe and Beyond - where interest is already gathering.
