Willow & Twigg is a small Hampshire-based business that produces individual and bespoke handmade jewellery including necklaces, rings, earrings, bangles, bracelets and cufflinks.
Using a variety of sustainably sourced materials from silver, brass and copper to semi-precious stones and sea glass, the designs are modern, elegant and unique. Styles range from the simple and delicate to more intricate creations and bolder statement pieces.
Everything is designed and crafted by hand with great care in order to produce a range of jewellery that is as individual as the wearer. If you like your accessories to be 'that little bit different' you may find just the thing you're looking for!
Hi! My name is Kelly, and I am the founder and crafter at 'Willow & Twigg'.
I am a self-employed artisan jewellery maker and designer, currently living in the south of England with my husband and our three young daughters. I am a retired Royal Navy Officer, having left the military after almost fifteen years of service in order to focus on raising a family.
I began making jewellery many years ago, originally starting with bead stringing and wirework to create things for myself and gifts for friends and family. More recently I expanded my techniques and skills to incorporate metalsmithing into my work. This gives me much greater flexibility in my designs and has opened up a whole new world of creative possibility. In particular it allows me to combine my love of creating jewellery with another of my hobbies; collecting sea glass.
I have always loved the sea and for the last few years I've been lucky enough to live right on the coast where I regularly enjoy walks along the beach, combing for treasure and picking up sea glass, shells and random bits of driftwood that I hope one day to find a use for!
As my children approached school age I established 'Willow & Twigg' to help sustain and fund my passion for crafting jewellery as well as provide me with a regular and steady occupation once again.
Most importantly though it gives me the freedom and flexibility to work from home, allowing me to always be available for my three daughters and spend as much time as possible with them.
The girls are very much the motivation behind my business but they also take an active interest in everything I make and can always be relied upon to give an opinion! In fact it was a post on Instagram detailing this motivation and the reasons why I chose such an occupation that won me my place within the SBS community.
I thoroughly enjoy making jewellery and I'm hopeful that my work will appeal to like-minded people who also possess a fondness for handcrafted items and who will love wearing my designs as much as I do.
