About Children in Northern Ireland Holiday Hunger
The Holiday Hunger campaign is about ending holiday hunger in Northern Ireland by ensuring all children and young people get the healthy food they need and deserve every single day of the year.
Summer can be the hungriest time of the year. Many children and young people who rely on free school meals struggle to get enough to eat during the summer months.
They now run four Holiday Hunger clubs that provide the opportunity for partnerships during school closure times and also give children the chance to get hot meals, enjoy fun activities that they may have never done before, and learn about cooking, nutrition and wellbeing. All this with the aim to support children and advocate for government to end holiday hunger once and for all.
