Irish Black Butter founder Alastair Bell recently went on his first trade mission to the USA. Under the auspices of the UK Department for Business and Trade, Alastair  visited Central Market stores in Dallas and Fort Worth  to inform Staff  and offer samples of his unique apple conserve to customers. “There was a fantastic response to our Irish Black Butter,” said Alastair. “Customers and Staff loved the taste of the  product and were intrigued to discover the wide range of uses from cheese to meats and even ice cream.” During his time in Dallas Alastair received an unexpected surprise when he was invited to exhibit the Winter Fancy Food Show at Las Vegas. This massive event attracts an audience from across the USA and much further afield. Alastair was able to meet customers from his Texas distributor and introduce many to this versatile product. “It was one of those ‘opportunity knocks’ moments,” said Alastair. “This was a great opportunity to showcase Irish Black Butter to a massive audience and I jumped at the chance to be involved. I met  companies of all sizes and from diverse sectors and am hopeful that we will be able to do good business with them.”
