SRL Publishing are pleased to announce they have joined the United Nations SDG Publishers Compact.
The Publishers Compact is a “voluntary commitment that recognises the responsibility of the publishing industry to create a sustainable future through action.” By joining the Compact, SRL Publishing joins publishing organisations from around the world in a commitment to act as champions of the SDGs during the Decade of Action (2020-2030). The Compact features 10 action points that publishers, publishing associations, and others can commit to undertaking in order to accelerlate progress to achieve the SDGs by 2030.
The Sustainable Development Goals, adopted by all UN Member States in 2015, are a universal call to action to end poverty, protect the planet, and improve the lives and prospects of everyone, everywhere. Encompassing everything from health, to gender equality, and education, the Goals will mobilise efforts around the world to end all forms of poverty, fight inequalities and tackle climate change, while ensuring that no one is left behind.
SRL Publishing is the world’s first climate positive publisher, removing more carbon emissions than it emits, and joining the United Nations SDG Publishers Compact supports and celebrate their progress in supporting the industry as a whole to tackle the biggest sustainability challenges.
