Back in 2021 when I started Troody Scrumptious I didn’t know where the business would take me, I just knew I wanted to be a Kind Business from the off. I knew I wanted to protect the planet from things that could cause damage to the next generations planet. I knew I wanted to be a place that helped other people through my own experiences with employment and chronic illness. I knew I wanted to be a business with a purpose that was more than just another Home Accessories business, So I got to work looking for a material that was kinder to the planet and I found Jesmonite, I have always highlighted the work that needs to be done to improve the lives of those with Endometriosis being a sufferer myself so blending this into my business with am option to donate to Endometriosis UK meant I could help more people. I knew my work was already low energy and as eco friendly as I could physically make it, But I wanted to go the extra mile by planting trees to reduce that carbon footprint even more. I wanted my business to be more than a business but a community. So in 2022 when I came across the Kind Currency through a networking event I knew this was something my business aligned with and I am so happy they agree! I applied at the end of 2022 and Troody Scrumptious was approved in 2023 and in January 2024 we received our official verification medal. Being part of a community striving for the same goals is an amazing opportunity and I am very proud of how far I have come in 3 years.
